Little update on beef availability:

First off, 🖤 you guys! We wanna stock your freezer with quality beef. But a couple of things are working against us…

⭐️ We’re experiencing a terrible drought with no relief in sight.
⭐️ We don’t haul animals in the 100°+ heat. Animal welfare is more important than income.
⭐️ Because of ⬆️ summer months are going to run lean on inventory.
⭐️ We’re a small farm. Only so much beef can be raised here. And it takes TIME.
⭐️ More and more customers are buying in bulk! It’s great and far more efficient for everyone. But that means less small bundles and ground beef only packages.
⭐️ Beef has become a hot topic and a little bit of a panic buy item this week. Even political. That doesn’t change how we operate.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ WE WILL HAVE MORE! This fall and winter will have more inventory. 🥩

Thank you for supporting our small farm! And please support other farms. We’re struggling y’all and every little bit helps!!

In other news. We’re going to have something completely different happening soon. A family friendly farm experience. Pet cows, pick flowers, sit by a 🔥. Stay tuned, more info on that coming very soon 👀

This summer has been brutal 🥵 Probably the worse drought we’ve experienced since buying the farm.
And while it’s frustrating to have a field that floods when the Spavinaw is out of banks…it’s great to see green fields when everywhere is crisp and dry.

We planted some cosmos on the edge of field and 🐝 🦋 🐦 loved it! After bragging about how I’ve not had to water them…the last two weeks humbled me 🥵
Took that opportunity to gather seeds. And these dry, little starbursts are so satisfying to gather easily in your hand at dusk while listening to the 🦉 wake up.

I planted 4oz of seeds and have gathered over a pound of them in the last two nights 🌺

Some nights it really pays off to be in the field 🌬️
