Pastured Meat Birds Available Next Week 🐓

We plan to deliver approximately 60 meat birds to the processor next week. Half of these have already been spoken for. We only offer them as whole birds and they are processed under USDA inspection. Bird size will vary from 2.5lbs up to 5lbs. Price is $5.50 per lb. If you want on the list please comment below.

We will also be processing again in mid November (approximately 120 birds) if you miss out this go around.

We are going to have a beautiful patch of Teddy Bear Sunflowers in the coming 2 weeks if the frost will hold off. 🌻

Pastured Pigs 🐖

We received a surprise call yesterday that 3 spots had opened up at our favorite processor and luckily we were able to get our 3 biggest pigs loaded and dropped off before dark. These pigs will be processed under USDA inspection. If you’re interested in a whole or half hog please reach out by Thursday. We are also happy to put together a custom meat bag if you don’t need a whole or half. Message us with your request.

Who loves cake?? Most families purchase at least one cake per month… Here is a great way to get something you love (delivered to your door) and also support our farm! 🧁 Baking is one way that we keep our farm going! We use farm fresh eggs, carrots (when available), homemade vanilla extract, and blueberries in our cakes 🍰

Thank you ! 🙏

If you support our farm through the CSA, online purchases, or if you shop at one of the 5 stores that we deliver to we want to say thank you. Because of your support we are able to make purchases like this mobile grain bin. For years we have been handling all of our feed in 50lb bags. Currently that amounts to handling 40 bags (when they are purchased and again when they are unloaded) every 10 days. We are very thankful we will not have to do that anymore. With this bin we will be able to purchase up to 2 tons of feed at a time and never have to lift, load, or cut open another bag. You guys make purchases like this possible and for that we say THANK YOU 🙏.

Summer Cover Crops 🌱

We love turning these summer cover crops into forage for the laying hens. Not only does it provide eggs for the CSA members it also puts nutrients back into the soil for our fall cover crops to take advantage of. It’s a great practice for building soil health.
