Is there any better way to spend a day like this than apple picking? Come enjoy our orchards with your loved ones.

Come apple picking at Windy Hill Farm this weekend! 🍎

This is one of our most abundant crops ever! The trees are loaded this year, and the Honey Crisp and Macoun (everyone’s favorites, ripe in September) are full!

This week we’re picking Paula Red, Zestar, and Ginger Gold. These summer apples are great for fresh eating, sauces and baking. Also available in our store, picked.

The weather has been perfect for blueberry picking. 🫐

Come share in our delicious bounty. PYO is open everyday from 9-4pm.

And when your baskets overflow, try baking our favorite blueberry cake:

(Recipe from our friend Pete Salinetti's mom)

2 cups blueberries
Juice of 1/2 lemon
3 tbs butter
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
1 3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk

🫐 Wash and drain blueberries and spread into the bottom of an 8x8 inch pan or a 9 inch pie dish.
🧈 Cream butter with 3/4 cup of sugar, reserving 1 cup sugar for later.
🥣 Sift together flour, 1/4 tsp salt (reserving other salt for later) and baking powder.
🐄 Add that dry mixture to the butter mixture in batches, alternating with the 1/2 cup of milk until a batter is formed.
🥄Separately, mix reserved 1 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1 tsp cornstarch. Sprinkle that over the batter.
🤯 Now this is the crazy part! Pour 1 cup boiling water over it all.
🎂 Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 mins. Enjoy with vanilla ice cream or fresh yogurt.

Visit us from 9am to 4pm everyday to pick our sun-ripened blueberries and enjoy stunning views of the Berkshires.

It's a bumper crop this year, so pick a few extra pints for pies, muffins, tarts, jam, pancakes, or any other treat you can think of. 💙

And don't forget to leave room in your car for any impulse buys during your visit! You are guaranteed to see some showstopping perennials and unique shrubs in our specialty nursery and lovely gifts in our garden shop.

🫐We have a wonderful crop of blueberries this year! Our Blueberry fields will be open for pick-your-own starting July 5th 9am-4pm, weather permitting. You will be asked to pay for your blueberries in the garden center before you enter the field. Please visit our website for more information and helpful hints before you visit.
