Lot 3 - 32 Seekonk Cross Rd. The farm is located in the Southwestern corner of Berkshire County, 2 miles east of the New York State line. Seekonk Tree Farm is primarily a "choose and cut" Christmas Tree Farm with fresh cut trees from other fields that range from 3-12+. We also offer wreaths, kissing balls, mail box huggies, roping or garland, lights, decorations, maple syrup and a whimsical Christmas gift shop!

Pick your favorite, tag it, and leave the rest to us. On your scheduled pick up day, we’ll cut your tree fresh and have it ready for you to pick up and take home.

We fared pretty well today with our two entries. Our Fraser Fir won first place in the Fir category, was Mass state champion and reserve grand champion. So the second best Tree overall. Our Meyer Spruce was second place in the Spruce category the first place Blue Spruce was Grand Champion from Hickory Ridge Farms in CT.

My tally counters, with colors that somehow actually match my flagging colors that I have used for years for 5-6ft up to 10-12ft. After field is tagged I will go back through and tally, hopefully they are spaced out enough to push the right buttons and not hit the reset. They are a little small compared to normal mechanical Talley counter. You have to look down quickly also vs, just pushing if you had one in each hand. Trial and error.

2020 planting of mostly Fraser, 750 6x6 spacing, Jim Rockis P+2 seedlings. Field was subsoiled, plowed, disced, rototilled, dragged and rolled, seeded with contractors mix. Quite a bit of deer damage for 1st 2 years, then we started with Dr Cowles lanolin based repellent 4years ago , and whole milk last year. We also stretched them 14”+- leaders for a few years. Rows have been mulched for 4 years. 1/2 the field further out from woods are ready to sell if it was a cut your own field. We also interplanted the whole block this year in between trees in the rows (3ft spacing) So when we harvest some this and next year, we will have a 2 year start on replanting. Harrels starter fertilizer, root dip, and 14-14-14 with micro nutrients yearly after first year.

Picked up some vintage 5 1/2 foot fiberglass twins today. We’ll be working them into our photo opps or gift shop this year.

Heatwave today, 39-40, finally got some deer repellent on a couple thousand trees with the good stuff. Milk for the next go round.
