This one is hard for me to write..
After nearly five years of pouring my heart, soul and entire existence into Nosh MT, I've come to a decision I never imagined I'd have to make.
Sometimes, no matter how much you sacrifice, or how determined you are to succeed, life has other plans. Despite my best efforts, I have made the decision to close the business.
And accepting that has been one of the hardest parts of this journey...
What started as a little dream grew into something extraordinary. Catering weddings, retreats, corporate events, film productions, fundraisers, and private dining experiences across three states.
I've worked alongside incredible farmers, ranchers, producers, and small businesses. We've fed thousands of people and had the privilege of being part of moments that families will remember for a lifetime.
Behind the business, I'm still just a human. This past year has brought some of the most difficult personal and professional challenges I've ever faced. I've fought hard to keep things moving, often at the expense of my own time, health, and happiness. I've missed birthdays, family gatherings, and countless little moments that I can't get back.
There is so much about this journey that I'm proud of. And there are things I wish I could have done differently. Both can be true.
To every client who trusted me, every employee who stood beside me, every vendor who worked with me, and every friend, family member, and fellow business owner who cheered me on: thank you.
You helped turn an idea into something real. Something that mattered.
While Nosh MT is coming to an end, my career in food certainly isn't. I still have dreams of creating and contributing to our local food system. Those dreams aren't going anywhere. They are just taking a different shape than I originally imagined.
Nosh taught me how to feed a crowded room. Life is teaching me when it's time to leave the table.
To Great Falls and every community that welcomed us, thank you for giving this little business a chance!
With love and gratitude,
Chef Julie Curtis
