When my friend asked me to make cookies for her twin granddaughter's 1st birthday, I was super excited… until she told me the theme: The Princess and the Frog. I did NOT feel confident that I could pull this off. I didn’t have the right cutters, the dress is very complicated, I’d never done any thing like this before, etc. But when I thought about all of the things this friend has done for me in the past few years, all the favors, all the support she’s given, all the times she’s let me vent (and cry) to her and all the laughter we’ve shared, I knew I had to give it a try.
This was my first time hand-cutting cookies, which was a bit scary! Not only because I wasn’t sure how they’d turn out, but also due to my not-so-distant cookie related injury resulting in stitches and eventual surgery! 🥴
Overall, I’m pretty happy with them. And most importantly, my friend is happy with them, so that’s all that really matters. 🥰
