Great Valley Berry Patch We are a family owned and operated fruit and vegetable farm in the heart of Cattaraugus County.

While we are most known for our ready picked and u-pick strawberries, we also offer raspberries, blueberries and a variety of vegetables. Check back here, the website or give us a call to see what's in season.

The weather is not looking very promising for a continued growing season this week so today may be your last pick your own opportunity of the year! We are beginning to gather all of the pumpkins in the field into piles so we can cover them to prevent frost damage but we will still offer the field pumpkins at a discount for the rest of the year, you just won’t have the full pick your own experience of harvesting them off the vine. We will be open until six today and closed Monday and Tuesday.

Beautiful cool weather today! Fall is in the air and it’s perfect picking weather! Pick your own pumpkins are officially open! Any size pumpkin in the field $5 each or 3 for $12! We provide wagons and clippers. We are open Wednesday through Sunday from 10-6 for pick your own pumpkins, raspberries and beets. In the store we have acorn squash, sweet dumpling squash, beets, zucchini, cucumbers, garlic and other assorted pumpkins and large winter squash. While you’re here picking out a perfect pumpkin feel free to swing by our Christmas tree patch and reserve yours today before the weather sets in!

Like everything else this year, pumpkins are running a little late but we did a mini harvest last night for those of you in the fall mood! We hope to do a full harvest soon, so there will be more to come. For now, we have some pumpkins to choose from for your decorating needs, as well as some Hubbard squash and acorn squash.
Beets and beans are still available for pick your own as well as small quantities of raspberries. The beans are nearing the end of their harvest season so make sure to stop in soon for them!

Looks like we may be done with the rain for a few days! We will be open until 6 today for pick your own green, yellow and purple beans, red beets, sweet corn and small quantities of red raspberries. Available for purchase ready picked today we have garlic, red beets, green, yellow and purple beans, red and green cabbage, lettuce and Swiss chard.

Those were quite some storms yesterday! While it’s supposed to rain again today we do plan on being open from 10-6 today for pick your own green, yellow, and purple beans, beets, sweet corn and small quantities of red raspberries. Raspberries are not at peak yet so they may not be open for picking everyday so please check before making the trip. If you are planning to pick large quantities of raspberries please wait for the berries to reach peak picking.

Beautiful morning but we do have some storms coming this afternoon. We will be open until 5 for pick your own green, yellow and purple beans as well as beets. We are still waiting for the raspberries to ripen enough to open.

Next week we will begin our fall hours: Wednesday - Saturday 10-6.

Beautiful morning today and things are finally starting to ripen around the patch! We’re still waiting on raspberries but beans are finally open for picking! We have green and purple available this year. In the storefront we also have garlic, zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers and maple syrup. We will be open Saturday from 9-8 and Sunday from 9-5.

The store front will be open this weekend 8/15-8/16 but there will be no pick your own available at this time. We’re still waiting for sufficient enough quantities of raspberries and beans to ripen. In the store we will have garlic, maple syrup and very limited quantities of zucchini, summer squash and cucumbers as well as the handmade items for sale.

After scouting the fields tonight we will be open tomorrow Sunday August 9th from 9-5 for the last of the blueberries. We will be open weekends only until the fall raspberries are ready for picking in another week or so.

08/05/2026

After scouting the fields this morning we have made the decision to close to ripen. The main blueberry crop has been picked clean and the late blueberries aren’t quite ready yet. The late blueberries is a smaller crop this year due to deer and frost damage but there will be some ready shortly. We will scout daily and update when we have enough ripe to reopen.
