Hi all, Loki here. I'd like to address the few people saying I'm starving Rasputin because of the long span between his last two meals.

When a giant asian buffalo leech is a baby, they eat way more frequently- every few weeks to month. I redid my math, and there was a 1.5 year gap between his last two feeds, which for an adult buffalo leech is fairly normal.

I offer him the chance to eat once a month, even knowing theres a low probability of him being hungry. When they're adults, they eat a ton at once and then metabolize it veeeery slowly. I promise he isnt being starved.
