De la Espiga a Su Mesa
From The Tassle To Your Table
La Espiga began with Guanajuato natives, Rueben and Martha Mosqueda. Rueben and Martha noticed that finding fresh tortillas in the Green Bay area was becoming hard. In Guanajuato, the Aztec historians Tortillerias was quite big, and Rueben and Martha knew they could embrace their heritage and pass on the history and service of the tortilla. In
1998, they began by opening a small shop in downtown Main Street Green Bay. As the business continued to grow, they found a new location further down Main Street in 2006. They went from being a small tortilleria to a full-service supermercado that ships their tortillas all throughout the Midwest. Eventually their son Sebastian joined in on the family business, with hopes to one day take over all operations so his parents can retire. He looks forward to expanding the business, so people all over can know the greatness of La Espiga. La Espiga offers a variety of fresh produce, fruits and vegetables, essential groceries and household items, and takes pride in selling their homemade tortillas. As the primary business in the area that makes and distributes fresh tortillas, this makes them stand out above every other food business. Everything is made fresh and the staff is ready to educate and provide whatever you need. They provide Intercambio express for all money transfer needs, and the staff will work with you to translate or understand to the best of their ability so everyone can receive the same great and friendly service.
