Now accepting applications for farm labor!

Hours:
- Sunday through Sunday 5am-11pm until the winter storm concludes.

Pay:
- None. This is a character building experience and free therapy….because you will have a much better outlook on your own life once this is over! We might be able to negotiate some free hamburger.

Duties:
- driving one ton trucks and farm machinery (no driver’s license required or desired)
- basic (or sometimes advanced) veterinary care (also no license required, but big plus if you have one though)
- opening all gates
- cutting and peeling off frozen net wrap
- Sledgehammering water troughs
- *POSSIBLE* Roping and removing un-alived cattle after they’ve had an ice skating accident - not a guaranteed experience, but also not out of the scope of responsibility
- De-pooping unlimited stalls
- Managing the inventory of essential repair supplies such as duct tape, zip ties, baling twine, and pocket knives

Benefits:
- company issued uniform (coveralls, carharts, and gloves)
- All meals included - and we will feed you just like our own family!…1 Mexican restaurant per day, then unlimited gas station jerky and Red Bull.
- Free workouts. Walking 5 plus miles per day uphill through a foot of snow wearing 30 extra pounds of clothes and carrying 50lb feed sacks…you’ll be ripped in no time.
- Frequent motivational speeches from our foreman - so good they will make you cry before, during, and after said speech.
- You will get to shovel the steaming excrement of some of the finest, most overrated, aspiring pasture ornaments in the barrel horse industry.
- You will play a vital role in quality assurance for America’s steakhouse restaurants! You won’t be able to afford to eat there, but, man, will they serve quality beef!
- There are some cute lambs involved. They won’t make you any money either, but we will let you hold one.

Apply in person without delay! (Un) Limited positions available.

Call Kevin at 870-BR-549 for the location of which corner of the county we happen to be feeding in at the time.

Farming is always having 3 months worth of work to do and 6 hours to get it all done before dark 😩

Lord, tonight we praise you for your many blessings. Today was a trying day, as farm life often brings, but we choose to focus on the blessings, and there were many. Your glory abounds in the good and beautiful things 🙌

Over the past few months, Kevin and I have had the opportunity to move some cattle onto part of my grandparents’ farm. We have felt so honored and blessed to begin seeing our own hopes and dreams align with my heritage. Our boys will be at least 5th generation Fultz descendants to farm this land. That may not mean much to some, but, to us, it means the world.

This weekend, our first calf was born there, a heifer. I told Kevin, of course, we have to keep her! I tagged her with 46 for Grandma and Grandpa’s wedding year. I was by myself, but I wondered if I could catch a picture of the moment, so I sat my phone on the running board of the truck….and this is what I got. I can’t tell you the emotions when I noticed the exact place those rays of sunshine were hitting. Friends, meet baby Ruth! ❤️❤️❤️

(And Lucky, our “cuddle cow” had to supervise as usual)
