It’s spooky season & sooooooo many BIG GIANT skeletons in people’s yards. Which begs the question….because, I apparently have more time to ponder random things….where the hell do people store them November-September? I’m picturing a basement filled with them????

Never thought of that before?! Now, you will be as you drive around & see ‘em. Kind of like an ear worm with music 🎶, but with your eyes. I know! We’ll call it an eye 👁️ worm🪱! Seems appropriate for Halloween! 🎃

Drunk Phils Fans made one of the brewery tables all shiny and like new! BEAUTIFUL 🤩 !!

Also looks like a challenge has just been thrown down to get it back to the scuffed up, messed up, well-loved and worn mess it was when you picked it up! BRING ON THE B**R glasses being scraped across the top between friends and lots of laughter! 🍻 Are we right?!?!

2018 - I knew how to homebrew with the most basic homebrew equipment. No pumps. No control panels. No fermenters other than carboys. A basement as our temp control for fermenting b**rs. I didn’t know much about yeast except the magic that they did for turning wort into b**r. And at a home brew club, I made a pretty bold statement that I wasn’t going to learn more about yeast. I’ll just let it do its magical thing.
2021- By this time, a short 3 years later I learned A LOT because Tom & I fell in love with b**r more and more. ❤️🍻 We wanted every b**r we made that would come off our taps to be delicious and clean and unique. And that included me having to learn lots of mechanical things and yes…even more about yeast, like how to manipulate the flavors it creates by changing the temperature of fermentation and how to harvest it for multiple batches. We had some useful strategies to help our b**rs taste more mature. And these were some of them. The other was first hopping. Which is a b**r conversation for another day.
You wanna know how many people told us a long our path that people wouldn’t want foraged b**rs. A LOT. Wanna know how many people questioned our brewery and the foundational principles we had, like inclusion and accessibility, no TVs because we wanted people to talk with each other, and just a place you could come to chill? SOME. But we have pretty good bu****it detectors and strong core beliefs and practices. They threw down what they thought. We made and poured our b**rs.
Guess who was right about what we did? US.

It’s a heck of a thing when we look back on it! How did we do all that in the amount of time we did?! But, we did. And we did it pretty dang well. Not too shabby for two punk kids that a whole bunch of people thought wouldn’t amount to nothing. We proved that bu****it wrong, too. Just ‘cause you’re different it doesn’t make you less. ❤️
