Bunny and the Bee farm Small farm/homestead in the mountains of western North Carolina. We have rabbits, chickens, ducks, Guinea hens, bees and goats. There is never a dull moment.

A big thank you to Jason N Tracy Quickel for helping Lilly out today. He helped me expand her dog house. She tried to knock him down the hill a couple times. As you can see she is all tired out from having a visitor. Couple hours and she will be ready for coyote watch.

Funny how I have never seen these Pseudoscorpion before. Now I have spotted 3 in different hives. Amazing little creatures. Hope they get hungry and eat lots of mites.

It is show time. Come on down to Burnsville square and enjoy this festival. I was down this morning helping Tabatha set up. Some great music. We are on the square near the stage. Grab your favorite honey while it is available. We had great people fall in love with our dark spring honey. They bought every jar we had. Still have medium summer and light fall honey left. Pseudoscorpions
They prey on mites and are supposed to be good at it. No idea if true or not. I guess time will tell.

I get living in the mountains is interesting and sometimes scary. This was caught just last night behind the chicken coop. I was waiting for Goldilocks to show up next. These were a bit too close for my liking. Tonight Coyotes were in the woods on the other ridge. Maybe 200 yards away. Nothing like trying to keep everyone safe.

We are so excited to be offering comb honey for the holidays. This is our first try at Ross rounds and we couldn’t be more tickled. The girls worked their hearts out and put beautiful light honey in them. We had a master beekeeper say they tasted sourwood in the honey. We have a little in the hills around us, and our first light summer/ fall honey that has tasted this good. Grab a bottle or some of this yummy comb when you see Tabatha at the festivals.
