Green Mountain Aronia Berry Farm outside of Marshalltown Iowa is a 150+ year 7 generation farm and one of the oldest Aronia berry farms in Iowa planting in 2008 and 2009 over 1500 plants. Our U-Pick event is well known in the Central Iowa area and we enjoy opening our farm each year to host this family event.

U-PICK. $3.00 a pound ( we measure by the quart..4 cups = 1 quart)

Pre-Picked by us $5.00 a Quart

WE PROVIDE;
Non-latex gloves
Buckets and zip lock bags
Curb side pick up for disabled or if you are medically unable to pick the berries yourself.

Our berries are sweeter than most aronia due to our soil quality and mature age of the plants. Our bushes stand betwee 10-12 feet tall with most fruit at perfect picking level. Aronia berries are tart in nature due to the "tannins"which make the outside skins the dark purple/black color. Plants have never been machined processed so they are super healthy and high producers.

Aronia berries are considered a "Super Berry" used for health benefits with Cardiac, Diabetic, Cancer, Autoimmune disorders..

Current research shows the normal recommended intake is: 1 pound per person per month (about 15 berries per person) They will stay in the refrigerator for 4-6 weeks then move the berries to freezer.

Wednesday’s weather report-The major rain has passed and we are open and people are picking so come on by only four more days left but with all this rain we may be picking after Sunday.

We’re excited because over 50% of our customers this year are new customers and they are excited to learn about the wonderful health benefits by adding Aronia to their lifestyle. Aronia Berry
