I'm not telling anyone how many quail eggs I stuffed in my incubator. Honestly after their journey in below freezing weather for 3 days, I'm not even sure half will hatch. Guess we will find out in 18 days.

Never did I think I would be raising jumping spiders. This is not for the weak y'all. There is a LOT that goes into this. Honestly would not have made it to this point without the help of actual jumping spider breeders that I have never in my life met.

As of right now, there are about 40 babies in total between these 2 cups. Probably less than 10 in Momma Pickles enclosure. However, Pickles appears to have already laid a second egg sac, so there will be another round. And then another.

Jumping spiders only have to mate once to produce multiple egg sacs. Please keep this in mind when buying jumpers from pet stores. If purchasing from a breeder, don't hesitate to ask if it is wild caught. Adult WC females have a chance of being gravid. And you may not notice right away.

I might look for a local breeder willing to trade Momma Pickles for an unpaired jumper.

Oops, I did a thing. 48 naked neck eggs in the new incubator. Wish me luck! The incubator is new, as well as the naked neck layers.

I might just die if they all actually hatch 😬

Bought a couple of mourning geckos yesterday. I was concerned about not already having hides for them. Apparently I was wrong. I absolutely do have a hide for them.

Can you spot her in this photo? 👀

I definitely don't keep all my eggs in one basket. Guess it's a good thing I'm a sucker for cute baskets. Chickens are starting to pick up laying again. Averaging 10 eggs a day, give or take a couple. I guess I need to make my own egg bites for the freezer to use up some of these. Why do I have so many chickens, I can't eat this many eggs (don't tell my husband I questioned this) 😂

Babies have hatched! 9 of 12 turken (naked neck) eggs survived the process. I am in so in love with the variety of colors, but especially the black ones. Can't wait to see their mature feathers.
