I know that many of you have been anticipating the date of opening, and I’m here to address that. As most of you know, Grandpa (LaVerde Kuns) passed away on January 15th this year.
After almost 95 years of faithfully serving our community, we have made the utmost difficult decision of not opening this year. This decision has not been made lightly, and we sincerely hope that you all understand just how hard this is.
It is so hard to find people willing to do this labor-intensive work in the orchards as well as the costs to maintain them. We know it isn’t a glamorous job out there. Another issue is money to keep operating: one reason why it is so important to shop local! Please support your local farm stands! No farmers means no food.
We are not sure how long we will remain closed for, as it is undecided at this time. Thank you for your time and understanding through this difficult decision.
