Time to introduce some new faces on the farm this year! Dmitri (and wife Ciara!) are new to farming. He approached us this winter about partnering up. He is raising meat chickens on the farm this year, moving them to new pasture twice daily, where they can forage for bugs and fresh greens. They also receive a ration of certified organic grain. He is diligent about their care and self-admittedly "obsessive" when learning something new. He threw himself into his farming enterprise 110%! Help support the new guy, and message us to pre-order a freshly processed chicken, available next month!

And keep an eye out later this summer for his fresh cut bouquets! 💐

We were happy to once again be a job site for GHS's Senior Payback Day! This crew got a lot done in a short time: planting, weeding, mulching, trellising, and continuing the big project that is the ground hog fence. Thanks to those who participated and good luck with whatever comes next!! 🎓🎉

Thank you for a great opening day in the shop! ❤️ It is so great to be back. We have freshly delivered breads and pastured duck eggs. 🦆🦆🦆 Stay tuned for more about our little plant sale, which we started setting up yesterday. (We've got some exciting medicinal plants, herbs, and edible flowers this year! 🤫)

YOU GUYS. The barn shop season opening day is TOMORROW (Wednesday), and we've been so busy, we've barely posted about it! 2026 season is going to be fabulous! 🥗🥕🥚🥩🕯️🍪🍯🍞💐 Can't wait to catch up with all my regulars and to continue to supply our area with top notch products from small 👏 sustainable👏 local 👏 farms/businesses.

I wouldn't be anywhere near ready if it weren't for the mountain of help I've had lately, especially the MVPs in the last pics, my parents. They work full time, but still managed to donate an afternoon to cleaning and rehauling the shop this past weekend. It was an awesome transformation! And it freed me up to have a little time for crafts and puzzles and Go Fish with my kid. ❤️ (Also thank you to my badass group of gardening volunteers. More about them another day! 💞)

Last weekend we were fortunate enough to have our 4th (5th??) volunteer workday with the University or Akron's CMAA chapter. This was an incredibly hard working and fun group. They helped reinforce some fencing for our pigs, and they dug and installed about 400 ft of groundhog fence around the garden. We trenched until we were rained out! These kids were unfazed. Their group also helped us install both of our high tunnels, and fenced in several acres of sheep pasture in the past. The farm would not be where it is today without community volunteers! It was a great day. 💞 Onward to our SEVENTH growing season! 🤩

These tomatoes will be really happy to get out to the high tunnel after we are through with Monday's low. ❄️ This grow room is AT CAPACITY. 😅
