Welcome to the Camp Chik-a-Bawkie page! We have a combination of standard and smooth Silkies.

My husband and I keep a small hobby farm, raising Bearded Silkie chickens. Our goal is to raise Standard of Perfection Silkies with an emphasis on maintaining excellent temperaments and unique coloring. The Bearded Silkies that we are raising are wonderful little darlings. This is our first year with them and I am so excited to see the results of their hatches!

Welp. We made it to Chincoteague, Virginia and it is absolutely wonderful! 🌊🌞❤ Love it here! The only downside is that we are renting and can't have chickens or geese. I miss their company so much. 😭 The seabirds here are plentiful, gorgeous and varied. I've been trying to get them to follow me home everywhere we go! This little one hung out with me for about 20 minutes today! 🤞🤣

Attn SILKIE BREEDERS
If you need a proven black, exceptional and abundant feathering and a great body - Maybelline is your boy. He makes absolutely gorgeously feathered chicks, right out of the shell. Pic of one of his offspring below, who had just dried off from hatching. Check out those legs and feet! He is a black with green feathers. He is currently going through a molt. Maybelline is a wonderful mate to his hens - protecting, tidbitting, non-aggressive mater. He is all business, all the time. He is also exceptional and welcoming to chicks right out of the brooder. He loves to teach them how to chicken and will even let them get warm under him. He is good with younger roosters, once they learn their place, he will leave them completely alone with their own mates. He has not been with an older, established rooster. He truly is "almost" everything you want in a black silkie rooster and I hate to see him go to auction. Such a waste. We are moving to VA and can't take him with us. He is free. Please take him and make gorgeous chicks with him. Located in Standish.

2 silkie hens for sale. Will sell as pair only. They are from my original flock and are all bonded. They are all a year old and have been broody 🤦‍♀️ on and off all season, so keep that in mind when viewing pics. 😂 Their feathers have been through alot! 😟 They are all organically fed.

Weslie is a smooth dun chocolate. She is a great sitter. Babies should be removed once they are hatched. She loves them but is too rough with them. I let her sit and hatch but then take them away. She will then go out into the yard and adopt and care for whatever chicks she can find. 😍 Her beak is long and curved. She does very well with it. I was going to trim but she does so well with it, I was worried it would interfere with the way she eats and drinks. I recommend her new owner should leave it as is. Weslie follows me around the yard until I am done with chicken chores and sit down so she can jump into my lap. Sometimes she gets impatient and will just jump on my back. She is super feisty and will not back down from chickens or dogs who are much larger. Weslie is our OG/head hen. She's my favorite! Can you tell? :) $40

Vanilla is a white with leakage, silkie hen. She is a sweetheart and last in the pecking order. She has a gorgeous head of feathers. She has successfully brooded and raised 1 hatch and was a very good mom. I did have to trim her head feathers so she could see them. $40
