Well after a short hiatus, Slow and Steady Farm: Part 2 is officially underway. As many of you know, Shannon and I have moved to Milwaukie, Oregon to be closer to family. has lovingly inherited our growing space in Greenbank and she will continue to grow beautiful foods for the Whidbey community. Down here, we're starting a big "garden" this season and we're not entirely sure how everything will play out, but we do know that we want to grow more food than we can handle and share it with people so that's what we intend to do. We're also planning to keep the project going in it's 4th year as we try to tease out the perfect winter squash from a menagerie of Maximas. We dearly miss the magical beauty and community on Whidbey, but farming has taught us that sometimes you have to pare down to what's most important.
