Electric Acres Farm

Electric Acres Farm Welcome to Electric Acres Farm! We're a veteran-owned and operated farm dedicated to growing fresh, sustainable produce and raising happy, healthy animals.

Our goal is to bring the best of the country to you From Battlefield to Harvest Field

After serving our country, James has found a new sense of purpose and pride in the rich soil of Electric Acres Farm. James brings the same discipline, perseverance, and passion that defined his military career to cultivating life and nourishment in his fields. Following his military service, James hung up his un

iform and sought a new challenge that would allow him to stay connected to a life of service. Farming and being a chef proved to be the perfect symbiotic fit, offering a chance to work outdoors, contribute to the local food system, and heal through the therapeutic rhythms of nature. Mission-Driven Agriculture

James’ military background instilled a strong sense of duty and commitment to serving others. James is dedicated to a modern approach to agriculture using sustainable practices that prioritize soil health and environmental stewardship. Supporting Fellow Veterans: Creating a supportive network and resources for fellow veterans exploring agriculture as a career path or therapeutic outlet. Preserving the Land: Implementing regenerative farming techniques to protect and preserve the natural beauty of the farm for future generations. A New Kind of Service

At Electric Acres Farm, James continues to serve his country and community, but now through the noble work of feeding and nourishing families across Middle Tennessee. Join us in celebrating James’ journey and the bounty of his labor.

Small but mighty.

Heritage goats are known for their hardiness, ability to thrive on rough forage and natural resilience — qualities that make them well-suited for sustainable farming systems.

Do you have experience with heritage goats? We'd love to hear your stories — and see your photos!

For Memorial Day, we share this 1929 photograph of Private John Hale holding U.S. Secretary of State Henry Stinson's tobacco-eating goat named "Master William Hamilton Bones."

The goat resembles Spanish goats. Photo from the Library of Congress digital collection.
