TAG 16 • SLGN STONYS BECCA 4215 x MRLA RESOURCE 137E

Sale season is officially kicking off! Out of all the calves this year we only had ONE purebred red angus heifer, luckily she is no sleeper. It was an easy decision to partner up with Tree Lanes and let them market her. Two full siblings shown by Hartmans and Phillips had success in the show ring but more importantly in their herd as a cow, no doubt this one will do the same.

Such an exciting first calf for this female, I’m sure she’ll be ready to turn out to pasture after a few more trips through the ring. Congrats!

EEG BECCA 248’s second lap in the big ring in the coliseum resulted in a big banner. Couldn’t have done it with out support from so many! Thanks to Marin for trusting us with her, Paulie and the Herrick’s for nutrition assistance, The Foster’s for keeping them feeling their best and the best cheering squad, Travis and Steve for keeping her a good rig, and anyone else I missed (my apologies) you are all appreciated. This hasn’t came easy for Layne and he put the grind on to get this done, so proud of him!

Champion Red Angus Cow Calf Pair today at the MN state fair. This family has done a tremendous job getting this female in shape to show, along with a stellar bull calf at her side. Congratulations Layne!

Son of SLGN Stony's Becca 4215, a female that has proven her wins in the show ring and as a donor! This yearling is sired by Nio Opportunity who is since deceased so this mating will not be available again, except for one additional flush mate at the farm. Maternal sibling to the bull pictured in comments.
