Gun safety will be and is a big thing in our house. Our children will be taught taught how to properly handle a firearm and when to do so. Not only for hunting purposes but for self defense.
Until such a time comes ALL of our fire arms will now be tucked away in this safe. Over time if we like these we will get smaller versions for the smaller guns to be put in safe locations in other parts of the house. Those will be fingerprint entry.
But today Isaac and I go to pick this one up after chores. I think we can call it a “Fathers Day” present for Alan. 😉 But we have talked about getting on in general since before we had Isaac.
Growing up I was always taught safety of rifles and my dad never had to worry about us messing with the guns in a bad way. But we never had handguns in the house and it was kind of an unsaid thing that handguns were bad and we should never touch one. Which they aren’t if properly taught to use one and not be afraid of it.
