Skyline preservation deserves gratitude for the newly restored windows. Wonderful job! A trip to Lowe’s and much measuring made it possible for George to case out the windows for the new addition that match trim in the old part.

This is an aerial photo taken some time ago of After the flood 0f '24, we are going to regroup with the help of family, moving in a new direction. The river changed our lives forever but has taken us on an unexpected path of hope for the next generations in agriculture. We have not posted for several weeks because our hotspot from the phone is very limited. Today on this Thanksgiving, November 28, 2024, two months have passed since our lives changed drastically one night. Even before the flood waters covered the house Jay had lived in for 80+ years, family and neighbors had started moving us out of harm's way. I am thankful for these people who made it possible for us to get many things into trailers and on higher ground. The next morning as the sun came up, George had shifted into gear and had volunteers lined up to do anything they could possibly do to get us through what the flood waters had left us with. I have learned a new meaning of what it is to be thankful..thankful for anyone and everyone who helped us in this time of sorrow, grief, loss, and joy even in finding the smallest memory or a photo of a family member. I am sharing a few photos of the ongoing progress we are making, still with the help of loved ones and volunteers

Hello Friends and Family,
Thank you all once again for your generosity and helping us share our fundraiser. We have reached about 60% of our goal and we are thrilled.
We have started work removing the worst of the damage, the areas of the house that could not be repaired. It has been hard to watch parts of the house come down, but this is the way forward. The areas of the house that had to be torn down included the newest part of the house, which included the chimney which was badly damaged, the kitchen and the dining room where the floor fell in.
We hope to continue to raise funds for the repair and renovation of the house and historic items that were damaged. Thank you for sharing and your donations.
