Renaissance Farm will be having a Working Equitation obstacle practice day Saturday March 27th 2:00pm-6:00pm rain or shine (indoors if inclement weather). $20 per horse and rider pair to school the obstacles, $45 for lessons.

Our first American Vaulting Association and United Stated Equestrian Federation sanctioned vaulting competition is in the books. Thank you to all the vaulters, coaches, lungers, judges, show staff, volunteers, Three Bulls and Renaissance Farm staff, Lisa Zielenske, Triangle Equestrian Vaulting, parents, friends, neighbors and the Funaro family for all of your support. Wonderful to see old vaulting friends again and meet lots of new ones. We are excited for the future of equestrian vaulting in our region!

Guest barn is all ready for horses to start arriving tomorrow for the Mountain Spring Fest
Auditions continue tonight, March 10 at 6:30 for this year's 5x10 production!
Written mostly by TU students, the five plays last 10 minutes each and enable the audience to experience multiple genres in one sitting. The “5X10 Plays” have been held every other year and are sponsored by the English and Fine Arts Department and Tusculum Arts Outreach.
Auditions for this year’s plays will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, and Wednesday, March 10, in Annie Hogan Byrd Fine Arts Center Theatre.
You do not have to have to prepare anything for the auditions, and no previous acting experience is required.
Organizers of the “5X10 Plays” are seeking male and female actors for about 20 roles.
Here are the plays.
· “Loyalty,” written by Meredith Barton and directed by Brian Ricker
· “BPM,” written by Serina Marshall and directed by Frank Mengel
· “Polished,” written by Cole Robertsen and directed by Erin Schultz
· “Room for One More,” written by Sam Schultz and directed by Wayne Thomas
· “Outside of Eden,” written by Amy Zipperer and directed by Thomas
Barton, Marshall and Robertsen are Tusculum students, and Sam is a 13-year-old local student. Zipperer is a teacher and playwright who is widely published and produced across North America. She will also serve as judge of this year’s Curtis and Billie Owens Literary Awards, a celebration of excellence in creative writing by Tusculum students.
The “5X10 Plays” premiere Friday, April 16 at 7 p.m. The plays will also be performed April 17, 22, 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. and April 18 and 25 at 2 p.m. in the Annie Hogan Byrd theatre.
