Our off-season is just as busy as berry season! Here's a sampling of our FALL 2026 to-do list:
● W**d all 21 rows by hand (about 1,300 plants)
● Collect soil and leaf samples -> to the lab
● Lay landscaping fabric on rows that are without
● Check irrigation to ensure preparedness for fall
● Receive lab results and order organic fertilizer
● Hand place fertilizer on each plant based on results
● Till and sow cover crops -> raised beds & 🌻 field
● All weeding, feeding and protecting must be finished by end of September to avoid early frost damage on exposed root systems, and to allow maximum nutrient absorption as buds set for the following year
When we're asked what it takes to farm regeneratively, it is truly difficult to sum it up, but we hope this little snapshot of our off-season prep work gives a clearer picture of what we do and how we care for our property as we grow your berries 🫶🏼
