šŸ„š Does a darker egg yolk mean a better pasture-raised egg?

Not necessarily.

When it comes to pasture-raised eggs, yolk color alone isnā€™t the best indicator of quality.

What we pay more attention to is the structure of the yolk: a fresh, quality egg should have a yolk that stands tall and holds its shape well rather than spreading out quickly.

And hereā€™s something many people donā€™t realize: yolk color can be influenced by the henā€™s diet, including specific pigments and minerals. So color by itself doesnā€™t tell the whole story.

šŸ‘‰ Look beyond the color. A firm, tall yolk is a much better sign of freshness and egg quality.

Honeynut- a single serve squash that packs a sweet flavor
Butternut- buttery, mildly sweet
Acorn- the most savory of the three, still slightly sweet
