We have 150 laying hens and that means this many eggs again and again and again. Come get yours on Saturday Johnson City Farmers' Market

And pumpkins— our market line up this week is a fall one. Have you ever made pumpkin pie from scratch?

These fall flowers are the best we’ve had in a while. The pumpkin colored heirloom mums last for over a week in the vase.

🐥 These are some of our LAST broilers of the season!

Once these chickens are gone, that’s it until next season!

If you’ve been wanting to fill your freezer with our pasture-raised chicken, now is the time to get your name on the list. ❤️
Here are two ways to get your chicken:

🍗 Want chicken delivered throughout the winter but don’t have a ton of freezer space?
Our monthly chicken subscription is a great option. You’ll receive chicken throughout the winter without needing to find room for a huge bulk order all at once.
COMMENT CHICKEN and we will send you the details.

🍗 Have freezer space and want to stock up?
You can purchase our whole chickens in bulk at our wholesale price and fill that freezer!
Link to purchase in bio.

We’re already seeing our chicken supply getting limited, so if you know you’ll want some of our chicken this winter, don’t wait until it’s gone.

Thank you for supporting our farm and choosing to put pasture-raised food on your family’s table. 🐓❤️

Subscriptions are available through September 3rd only.

If you want to enjoy our chicken throughout the winter, now is the time to reserve yours. 🐓

Subscribe now, and we’ll make sure we have your chicken set aside and ready for your freezer this winter!

Comment chicken and we’ll send you a link to purchase or find the link in our bio.

🥚 Does a darker egg yolk mean a better pasture-raised egg?

Not necessarily.

When it comes to pasture-raised eggs, yolk color alone isn’t the best indicator of quality.

What we pay more attention to is the structure of the yolk: a fresh, quality egg should have a yolk that stands tall and holds its shape well rather than spreading out quickly.

And here’s something many people don’t realize: yolk color can be influenced by the hen’s diet, including specific pigments and minerals. So color by itself doesn’t tell the whole story.

👉 Look beyond the color. A firm, tall yolk is a much better sign of freshness and egg quality.

Do you love fluffy sourdough? We totally think you should try ours. Sourdough benefits + a small amount of fresh ground flour to add texture and extra nutrition. You can preorder your loaf now to pick up Elizabethton Farmers Market on Tuesday. ( we don’t have sourdough on our website so just message or email us)
