We love the varied colors of the foliage this autumn season, and our line of healthy, delicious ferments is just as colorful! Real Pickles' natural fermentation process preserves the nutrients and bright colors of our Northeast-grown veggies. Add some vibrant Organic Beets and Ginger Carrots to a salad or include Turmeric Kraut in your next rice bowl for a pop of color and warmth. It's fun to play with your food when it's this good for you!

Time for a CO-OP PRODUCER HIGHLIGHT!🫜🥒🧄

Today we are featuring a local superstar – Real Pickles! We are very excited to be hosting them for a sampling in Green Fields Market next Thursday October 15th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. You can stop by and try their delicious products then, as well as learn all about why being a co-op makes them special. Is there a better way to spend your lunch break?!

cooperative, so read on for more information about Real Pickles and their products.
Real Pickles is a small, worker-owned cooperative located in Greenfield MA, that produces award-winning fermented pickled products that are raw, vinegar-free,
100% organic, regionally grown and solar-powered. Products include dill pickles, sauerkraut, garlic kraut, red cabbage, kimchi, beets, ginger carrots, turmeric kraut, hot sauce, and garlic dill pickles. You can find their wonderful products in our produce section.

Real Pickles has been operating since 2001, and has remained committed to promoting human and ecological health by providing people with delicious, nourishing food and by working toward a regional and organic food system. Through community engagement they help to build a better food system that supports both people and our planet.

Every worker at Real Pickles has the opportunity to become an owner of the business. Larger business decisions are made co-operatively, and the worker-owners foster a creative, supportive, fun, and satisfying work culture. We are proud to carry their products here at Franklin Community Co-op.❤️

What a FUN weekend! Thanks to everyone who braved the nor'easter and came out to the North Quabbin Garlic and Arts Festival! Even with the wind and rain we had a blast meeting you all and sharing our garlicky ferments. Endless thanks to the organizers and volunteers NQuabbinG&A for all their hard work and perseverance through the wild weather. See you next year!

Big news for garlic lovers! You won't start seeing them at your local market until after next week, but you can find this season's fresh batch of Organic Garlic Dill Pickles at the North Quabbin Garlic and Arts Festival in Orange MA this weekend! Rain or shine, come see us Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm and get your garlic on!

Here at Real Pickles we are aflutter with excitement! A monarch butterfly chrysalis has attached to the front of our building, and a monarch caterpillar was seen crawling nearby as well. Are you as excited as we are to see these beauties emerge? We have dubbed them Ginger and Rosemary. Stay tuned for updates from the lepidopterarium!
