Tonight was weaning night on the farm. It’s never fun but it’s part of the process and life cycle of a beef cattle operation.

Fortunately it was a great opportunity for multiple generations to help feed the mamas before weaning them from their 5-7 month old babies.

Don’t be fooled though, these 5-7 month old babies are every bit of 500 lbs give or take on birthdate.

Stay tuned for how we manage the weaned calves health and prepare them for a healthy and successful winter of corn and hay for even more growing.

Good news!

We have beef available to you, the public. Please see pictures for bundles or à la carte (note: sold out of ribeyes). Delivery available in Hancock County.

Bad news: no logo update but we are still working through that and excited for the future.

Our girls have been hard at work filling bags, riding along to deliver orders and keep an eye on the herd.

Please let us know what you are interested in and we can work up a deal custom to you, your family and your freezer space. But hurry, it’s going quick and once we sell out, we will be out until next August.

Memorial Day on the farm.

Thankful for the men and women who gave everything so families like ours can wake up to quiet mornings, raise kids in freedom, work the land, and enjoy simple moments that matter most. And a time to remember those generations who came before us on the farm.

From sunrise over the pasture… to little hands planting tomatoes… to girls growing up around good cattle and open skies — none of it is guaranteed.

Today we remember the cost of that freedom. 🇺🇸🐄

We do. Every single day.

these calves are born on this farm…
raised on this grass…
and stay right here until they’re ready.

No trucks. No middlemen. No guessing.

Just a family, doing it the way it’s been done for generations.

And if you listen close…
you can still hear it.

The sound of cattle on fresh grass.
The sound of a farm that’s still working.
