We’ve been pretty quiet lately, and we wanted to let you know why.
This spring took an unexpected turn. I began experiencing severe vertigo that made it difficult to do even everyday tasks. This week, I underwent a lumpectomy and currently recovering. Between the vertigo, surgery, and recovery, I simply am not able to care for our garden the way it deserved.
It was an incredibly difficult decision, but we had to put many of our farm plans on hold this season.
We’re so grateful for everyone who has checked in, supported us, and continued to cheer us on.
As my health improves, we’ll begin sharing more from the farm again, even if it’s one small step at a time.
Thank you for sticking with us. We can’t wait to see what the next season brings.
With gratitude,
Carissa, Brad & MaxHills & Hens Farmstead
P.s. our garlic is growing and we’ll (probably Brad) harvest that soon!
