We have successfully canned chicken stock! Each jar is $5 or $3 if you trade in mason jars! Keep in mind this is stock and will need water added too it when cooking! These should be shelf stable for up to 2 years I believe

BUTCHER DAY! Butcher day is tomorrow! If anyone would like chicken meat it will be processed and packaged in separate parts a few will be left whole. We are starting out slowly but in 6 weeks we will have 22 meat bird chickens to full process so if you don’t get some from us you can again in 6 weeks!

For those curious about duck eggs this is the comparison. A duck egg has larger egg whites and more nutrients than a chicken egg. I have heard some folks prefer them to regular chicken eggs! I do have some duck eggs if you’d like to try them! Also come see us at buffalo days! May 23rd we will be there from 6am-5pm and in the parade!

Got the brooder back and set up! Our sweet little babies are enjoying their new home and the broodiest of my hens has already accepted them although she tries to sit on top of the brooder since she can’t get inside 🤷🏻‍♀️ on top of that we have plenty of eggs! We did switch to sand in our coops which have kept our eggs clean quite a bit!

We got some good things happening here! Our outdoor kitchen is getting closer to being done! Still got some work but it’s getting there! We got some little sprouts coming in! Watermelon and cantaloupe have made their appearance. All my little plants are sprouting and soon we will have some veggies! We also got our incubator! Hoping to see some baby turkeys really soon!
