It feels like deja vu.
A faceless corporation hiding behind the scenes, pulling strings in a town they do not call home.
Wrightstown is our community, and now we are the latest to be confronted with the possibility of an AI data center.
But this one feels different.
There appears to be a new layer of organized support for this project between the people entrusted to protect us and the developers looking to profit from it.
The facts haven’t changed.
No matter how hard a new narrative is forced, the reality still exists. AI data centers consume an unfathomable amount of energy. They require tremendous amounts of water. The health risks are well documented. The construction is constant, loud, and disruptive.
Until we truly understand the impact of these facilities, why should Wrightstown be the test subject?
How about we slow down?
Measure twice, cut once, and let the residents decide.
We will be hosting a series of town halls with experts in health, finance, law, utilities, and land use, along with people who have been directly impacted by projects in their own communities.
Stay tuned. Keep asking questions. 🙌
