It is with great sadness to tell you all, our beloved Pepper has passed on yesterday late afternoon.

My little flower inspector has been promoted to Superior Flower Gaurdian. He was my buddy, my sidekick and my friend. He was indeed, The Best Boy and will be so very missed. Our house feels a lot less today.

Todays zinnea and others harvest. Here i am stripping leaves off the stems, cutting to length and placing them in buckets.
I used to strip the flowers as I cut them, leaving the leaves in the field, but now I cut them, bundle them up and strip leaves on the picnic tables. Its faster AND I won't be leaving any diseased leaves in the soil.
Today I only saw a few Japanese beetles . . .a few leaf footed monsters and no sign of my friendly black snake visitor.
