Phantom has a new normal now that he's the only baby sticking around. Since he's a wether he is enjoying his first day out with the main herd which includes most of the doe's in the big field. They are being quite tolerant of his baby antics, though Phantom did reunite with his Mom Witchblade and seems to stick with her mostly.

This afternoon we said Bon Voyage to both JCK Koalemos and JCK Omega as they head up to Pennsylvania with their new Family. Both will be great additions to their growing breeding herd and we can't wait to see Koalemos babies next year ❤️

Witchblade decided to short cycle to get in on the twins date with Lovin' Lucifer. So now I potentially have three doe's who will be due on the same day 🤷🤦. Three bred and two left to go.

For the second year in a row the twins JCK Astarte and JCK Daruka are in standing heat at the same time, Lovin' Lucifer has his hands full today. What's even more comical is that the twins dam Lilith is also in heat today BUT she's not getting bred this year. Witchblade was bred a couple days ago and now we're just waiting for Mavis and Cheshmak to cycle.

JCK Koalemos will be available earlier than expected as I'm just too busy to take him to shows this summer before selling. So I'm offering him Now, preferably a show home BUT a capable breeding home is a Must. He's my best buckling born this past season but his sire is young and has many years left, so I don't need to hoard this guy. Koalemos was a Huge single born in February which has grown well without being pushed heavy on grain. I don't see him having any problem breeding doe's this season and if you're wanting color, his Pedigree is jam packed. Pm for details

All has been quiet here as most of the kids have left for their Show or breeding homes. Phantom (black dapple wether), JCK Omega (red dapple doeling) and JCK Koalemos (red dapple buckling) are all that remain. I'm still trying to get Koalemos to a few shows this season before selling him as a Jr breeding Buck. Omega didn't get much interest (not show correct with a vertical fold in one ear) so I'll probably breed her next year, if she's still here, as with her being a triplet I highly doubt it's genetic. Phantom could of been a decent starter buck for someone but once he hit 12 weeks old and not reserved, I decided to band him.
We're figuring out which doe's are getting bred to which buck this year and will announce those pairings when they are decided. One thing we are certain of is that Lilith won't be bred this year and will probably be retired indefinitely as she's such a heavy milk producer, her udder attachment struggles with bearing the weight during lactation. We would rather her retire a kidding early than have possible udder issues down the road. This was a hard decision as every single one of her kids have been phenomenal and all are being used in breeding programs. But it's what is best for Lilith and that's what matters.
