Fresh bread in the farm store! Market was super quiet this morning so we have lots to offer. Babka, pita, focaccia, pain de mie, and deli swirl - all fresh and ready to go! Sunday take $2 off for the big chill. Stay warm out there.

In solidarity with the National Shutdown, we will be closed today, Friday 30 January. Anyone wishing to pick up free soup is still welcome to come by. We will reopen for normal business on Saturday, January 31.

Soup fans! Today’s offering is Pasta e Fagioli, staying almost true to my friend Amy’s Nonna’s recipe. Made with the last of our fresh hoophouse tomatoes, cannellini beans, chick peas, my take includes and a splash of chianti, some crushed red pepper, and the all important rind from wedge of parmagiano reggiano. Soup is free for everyone, but if you want and you’re able, you can pay for it and the proceeds will help me make more soup.

I just want to thank everyone who helped out last month with cash or by making soup or buying soup. The first two weeks were super busy and I was barely able to meet the demand. Those extra pots made by friends were a blessing. By the end of the month, we had sent nearly 100 quarts and plenty of hot cups of soup out into the world.

Even though folks ultimately got their SNAP benefits back, plenty are still struggling and it’s been so unseasonably cold! So I’ll keep offering soup as long as I can. Hot soup is in the crock pot, quarts are in the fridge, and there’s a really nice selection of past offerings in the white freezer. Some are vegan and gluten free, or both.

Today’s free soup is a rustic three-potato chowder (V/GF), served with a simple Italian house bread(V).

We started with a vegan and gluten free soup and made extra so it will be available as an option for the next few days when we make soups that contain dairy or meat.

Quarts are in the fridge, hot soup is in the crock pot. Don’t forget to grab some bread.

Open until 8 pm.

Friends, we are now offering free and delicious homemade soup and fresh bread to anyone in need. They are available in the farm stand, no questions asked and no need to show your SNAP card. Hot soup is available by the cup, and quarts for take away are in the refrigerator. The farm stand is open every day from 8 am to 8 pm.

Anyone who would like to support our efforts is welcome to purchase soup and bread at the usual price and the proceeds will go to more free soup and bread. We hope to keep this up as long as it’s needed.

Not just customers, friends. ♥️♥️

Tomorrow will be the first Friday in Hardwick without a farmers market since MAY and we’re already missing y’all...😢

With that in mind, it seems like a good time to feature our first ever (?!) CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT! 👏

But instead of talking about ONE awesome customer, we’re talking about TWO…Why?! Because BOTH of these wonderful humans managed to fill not ONE but TWO loyalty cards during our regular season! 🎉

And since each card contains 10 spots, that means they came to TWENTY of our TWENTY ONE markets. We think that’s seriously worth celebrating! 🔥

In case you haven’t heard, we piloted a loyalty program for the first time this season; For every completed punch card, you would earn two free meal & grocery vouchers (a $20 value) as a token of our appreciation. It was really popular and will definitely be coming back in 2026…💯
