What an incredible weekend at Road to the Horse 2026!

Huge congratulations to all the competitors—every single one of you showed grit, heart, and true horsemanship. This isn’t just a competition, it’s a test of trust, patience, and partnership… and you all rose to it in a big way.

The horses, the moments, the pressure, the breakthroughs—unreal to watch.

And a special nod to those who’ve chased this dream for years… it shows.

Respect all the way around. 👏🐴

Reina at 26 and still running the show 👑

Lead mare. First to the gate. Last to back down.
She doesn’t pin her ears unless she means it — and everybody listens when she does.

There’s something about an older Tennessee Walking Horse that just hits different… steady, wise, and absolutely aware of her place. Reina didn’t get that top spot by accident. She earned it — one look at a time.

Long live the queen of the pasture. 💚🐴

This is what Greenview Farm looked like when we started.

No pasture.
No barns.
No driveway.
Just briar, weeds, burned brush piles, and dirt.

We cleared it ourselves. Lived on-site each weekend. Built it piece by piece.

Nothing about this was easy or romantic — just work and persistence.

Most people only see farms once they’re finished.
This is what the beginning actually looked like.

Honest question:
What part of this surprises you most?

Snow again with single-digit wind chills.

The horses are questioning our judgment.
The goats are acting as if they are personally offended.

This is the South, y’all. ❄️🐴🐐

❄️ We Survived the Ice Storm ❄️

Well… we made it 😅
Ice storm ✔️
Power through ✔️
Animals cared for ✔️

Now it’s in the teens and staying frozen all week — because apparently winter decided to linger in the South.

Hay is still stacked.
Water is freezing as fast as we break it.
Horses are layered like onions 🐴🧣
And we’re reminding ourselves… this is NOT normal for us.

Survived the storm.
Not impressed by the forecast.
Still doing farm chores like champs 💚

❄️ Greenview Farm Weather Update ❄️

In the South.

We don’t usually get ice and snow. Last week was snow, this weekend it's ice.

We grow grass, not glaciers.

So now…
Hay is stacked like a panic buy.
Water is secured like Fort Knox.
Horses are bundled up, wondering why Georgia thinks it’s Montana 🐴❄️
And we’re all saying, “This ain’t normal.”

Prepared? Yes.
Impressed? No.
Confused? Absolutely.

If you need us, we’ll be outside doing ice storm chores and muttering southern complaints under our breath. 😅

A new year feels like a good time to pause and look back.

Greenview Farm didn’t happen overnight. It’s been built slowly — season by season, fence by fence, horse by horse — since 2009.

Sometimes life on the farm asks us to be present more than online, but the heart of this place has never changed.

As we step into a new year, we’re looking forward to sharing more of the everyday moments that make this farm home. 🌿

“You know you’re a horse person when your dog’s summer pool isn’t for swimming—it’s for scrubbing fly boots and brewing up a nice stew of soap, dirt, and horse hair!” 😄🐴🛁
