We have some exciting things coming this year with a trip planned to South Africa to meet with Boer goat judges and breeders! We will be learning South African standards, judging process and working to begin an alliance with the SA stud book to have goats here in the US registered in the South African stud book as true SA Boer, Savanna or Kalahari Red. Hello ASR family...As many of you know and for those who don't, we are now the American Meat Goat Registry and have another FB page (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100072260959975). We tried to combine the pages at one point but FB just wouldn't do it for us. So, we are letting you all know that we will be shutting this page down soon and encourage everyone to continue to support American Savannas on AMGR's page. We'll give it a couple weeks so hopefully everyone has time to see this message and join AMGR. Also, it would be greatly appreciated if any of you would share this message with others.

It looks like a big portion of the country is in for some frigid weather! Adding extra hay and roughage as well as a draft free shelter with deep bedding are great ways to keep your goats warm. Stay warm everyone!
