Newest member of the farm. She was dropped off at an auction with no information except the branding on her neck. We have found that she was a former harness race horse, her grand dad is in the trotter hall of fame and her father and grandfather are million dollar racers. She is an amazing addition to our family. Calm and collected, our 4 yr old can walk under her and she won't move an inch. Our 6 yr old can ride her by herself. The dogs can walk around her and she won't flinch a muscle. She's great.

It's that time of year. Piggies have got to go and fill the freezer with pork chops, sausage, roasts and loins. We have 11 pigs to butcher. We slaughter and butcher on the farm if anyone is interested in some fresh pork let me know.

It's been a while. Having a full time military job and running a farm while being mom and dad to 7 kids and gma and gpa to 1. There's not much time to update. So here goes .... on June 5th we welcomed 5 new chicks hatched by our broody hen. They are all doing great. And this morning our big gilt, Orion, had a perfect first birth of 11 piglets. I believe there are 7 girls and 4 boys. All are alive.
