💛 Community Support Announcement: Let’s Rally for Miss Irene! 💛
Family and friends, we are calling on our amazing community to help us show up for one of our very own, Miss Irene.
Miss Irene came into our lives as a complete stranger when she walked into our restaurant, we knew we had to hire her as soon as we sat down and talked with her! We done that exact thing, hired her right on the spot, and since that day, she has been a blessing to us, and she has truly become our “adopted grandma!!” We can't imagine this place without her.
If you’ve visited us, you’ve likely tasted Miss Irene’s incredible cooking. She works 40 hours a week, bakes our delicious desserts, and cooks most of our plate lunches. Even while courageously battling congestive heart failure, she has one of the absolute best work ethics you will ever see. Beyond her amazing dedication, Miss Irene has a heart of gold—she is the kind of person who would 100% give you the clothes off her back if you needed them.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Miss Irene suffered the painful loss of her precious 94-year-old sister, Vada😇…. To make an already heavy time even harder, the financial burden of the funeral expenses has fallen entirely on her shoulders.
Miss Irene gives so much love and hard work to all of us every single day, and now it’s our turn to support her!!

How you can help:
We will be donating 30% of sales directly to Miss Irene, to help cover her sister's funeral expenses and ease this heavy financial load. And 100% of the food/desserts she makes that day! ❤️ we will be having beans and cornbread, kraut and wieners, and fried taters that day!! 😍
Whether you stop by for lunch, grab a plate lunch, or pick up one of her homemade desserts, every single order will directly help Miss Irene during this heartbreaking time.
