I wanted to share our experience in case anyone else has a broody hen who refuses to give up. Our girl, Sister, was broody for nearly three months, and nothing worked. Cold baths didn’t help, blocking the laying nest didn’t help, and kicking her out over and over didn’t help either. She would just lay down in front of the nesting box and stay committed. So we finally gave up and brought home three one-day-old chicks. Watching her become a mama has been one of the most heartwarming things we’ve ever seen. She wanted this so badly, and it is honestly so beautiful. 🐔💛🐣
