We created King Diamond Farms several years ago and at that time, our focus was primarily on horses, cattle, and moving hay.
When we chose the name, it was not intended to sound grandiose; it was simply inspired by our two favorite dogs, King and Diamond.
Over the years, we've have had many dogs, but these two were particularly special. Diamond lived a long life, surpassing the typical lifespan of her breed, and was my best friend. King is even older and remains with us, though he is deaf and partially blind. He continues to be a lively retired farm dog living out his best life.
What is the purpose of sharing this?
Now that we have a child, we are making adjustments that better reflect our current family and future plans. We no longer feel that the name King Diamond Farms accurately represents what we do.
Currently, our focus includes supplying fresh produce, commercial berry cultivation, high-quality horse and dairy hay, and bulk firewood during the winter months.
As a result, we are rebranding the farm as Sobrino Farms & Produce to better embody our family's involvement in these activities. You can expect to see significant changes across all platforms soon. We are awaiting approval from Facebook for the name change; if necessary, we will create a new page.
We still do a lot of cattle consignments under the name and our cattle are registered under the King Diamond name so we will still do that.
Regarding orchard updates, we are working to increase our strawberry production and we also grow seasonal crops such as peaches, persimmons, lemons, kumquats, guava, dragon fruit, jujubes, and more.
Additionally, we are capable of offering bulk produce and exotic fruits. You can subscribe to receive our weekly private Bulk price list!
Our ordering process is straightforward:
- Select your items
- Place your order
- Make payment by Thursday
- Pick up your order on weekends in Greenville at 69 Food N Feed
We are also restoring our farm store, which will be located at our home base approximately one mile from the berry farm. This store will be open daily, allowing you to purchase Non-Bulk grocery items, fresh produce, and exotic fruits. We will also offer local beef, chicken, pork, and halal lamb.
Our original subscribers and private members will soon regain access to dairy products, cheese, and yogurt, expected within the next 30 days. Moving forward, private memberships will be for dairy products and online delivery options, while other products will be available to the general public.
We still have to update our website's backend to reflect local delivery options, following our relocation from Princeton to Greenville, prior to relaunching the online store platform.
