Everyday and every night, for more than 100 years, four generations of one family have milked cows on what came to be called Rolling Lawns Farm. Louis in Greenville, Illinois, the farm was started by Sam Schmollinger, who registered his first Holstein calf in 1920. Sam’s daughter married Harry Turley who worked together to establish the herd. The farm didn’t earn its moniker until 1952, when their

15 year-old son Neal registered Rolling Lawns Farm as the herd’s official prefix. A master breeder, Neal took the farm from good to great. His knack for improving the herd with every mating was matched by his wife Connie’s maternal instinct. Today, Connie Turley and their son Michael are proud to continue the family’s century-long commitment to quality. They milk 120 registered Holsteins in the farm’s red brick parlor. Every day and every night, just like the family has for 100 years.
