You may notice our front door is locked when you arrive — but we are OPEN and so glad you're here! 🙌
Simply text the number on our door and we will let you right in. We promise the wait is short and the meat is worth it! 😄
Here's the full story and the heart behind this decision:
Over time, we began experiencing an increase in homeless neighbors coming through our front door. We welcomed them — because we genuinely believe every person is made in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity. ❤️ However, some began lingering for extended periods, and unfortunately, we discovered that product was being taken from our freezers without payment. As a small, local business, that's something we simply cannot sustain. 😔
Rather than turning our backs on people in need, we made a different choice. ☀️ During these hot summer months, we've opened our back door so our homeless neighbors can come in from the heat, rest, and find some relief — where we can also keep a watchful eye on our inventory and operations.
We also are working to connect them with local resources.
It's not a perfect solution, but it's our attempt to balance compassion with responsibility — to love our neighbors while also being good stewards of the business God has entrusted to us. 🙏
