Our community-rooted Food Innovation Hub (located in Greenville, SC) plays a central role in the Feed & Seed mission. Designed as a multi-purpose facility to support our local farmers and the community, it’s a space that provides food growers and makers the infrastructure and support systems needed for success. As a one-stop-shop, we act as a ‘concierge’ filling the gaps and increasing access to fresh, affordable local food within the Upstate Food and Nutrition System.

One month into a new school year, and we’re celebrating the impact of Farm to School! 🙌

From September 2025-July 2026, Feed & Seed Co. purchased 79,562 pounds of SC-grown produce from 15 South Carolina farmers through the USDA’s SCALES grant.

Those sweet potatoes, collards, strawberries, blueberries, and basil were transformed into school-ready products served in 93 schools reaching 77,000 students! 🍠🥬🍓🫐🌿

🍠 You see whipped sweet potatoes. We see 29,436 pounds of South Carolina-grown sweet potatoes with a bigger purpose.

Between September 2025 and July 2026, Feed & Seed transformed 29,436 pounds of South Carolina-grown sweet potatoes into 721 cases of Whipped Sweet Potatoes for Greenville County Schools through the SCALES grant!

Thanks to grant funding, these fresh products were purchased from local South Carolina farmers and are being prepared and processed by Feed & Seed Co. Students across Greenville County will get to enjoy the delicious benefits of this incredible farm-to-school partnership again this year!
