October 25, 2026 Sunday morning update. Start of my day off.

Had to run to the store for some essentials - soda and ice cream! Received a gift from 2 young ladies - they put our groceries in the car ❤️❤️. We are thankful and blessed 😍

Feeling exhausted more often than not. Becoming Dean's caregiver has been such a huge challenge. I am used to taking care of younger people (our girls are 32, 28 and 21 now). Taking care of an adult is so strange. Taking care of Dean during this season (terminal disease) is a blessing and torture. I enjoy waiting on him and taking care of him. The part that is torture is seeing him decline, seeing his body deteriorating and his mind slipping.
The waves of emotions have been amazingly horrible. I have read that some of what I am feeling is anticipatory grief. It has been suggested I talk to a person/human and not just Gee-Gee aka Google AI, 🙃. I have no health insurance, so Gee-Gee is going to have to work for now.

Decided to share mileage from our trip today - 209.9 miles! Long day. Time to feed Dean a real meal and put his feet up.

Having a fancy pants walker is so helpful! Just like when the girls were little and we used a stroller at times ❤️
