Saturday at the Wagon Wheel is looking a little… excessive. In the best possible way.

We’re sending 48 cinnamon rolls down this morning, because apparently restraint is not our strong suit.

And they’re bringing friends:

Brioche
Lasagna Bolognese
Meatloaf lunch boxes
Tiramisu cups
Chocolate pudding
Roast glazed ham sandwiches
And, judging by how fast they keep disappearing, the new crowd favorite: chicken pot pies

Basically, if you leave hungry, that’s between you and your poor decision-making.

And the best part? We’re only one piece of what makes the Wagon Wheel so much fun. There are so many wonderful local vendors bringing their own handmade, homegrown, baked, grown, crafted, and downright delicious things to the table. Go support them, wander around, eat something good, buy something local, and make a morning of it.

There’s a 4 in front of my wake-up time this morning, and that can only mean something delicious is happening.

The cinnamon rolls are definitely the star today — soft, gooey, and headed down fresh to the Wagon Wheel Community Market.

I’m also sending brioche, chicken pot pies, chicken salad, meatloaf dinners, and Northwoods mustard for the condiment shelf.

It’s exciting to see a new local market open its doors, and even better to have another place in the community where small businesses can show up, stock the shelves, and support one another. Swing in, see what they’re building, and give them a little love.
