Pasture raised chicken is significantly superior to factory farmed chicken in nutritional value, environmental impact, animal care, and culinary quality. We haven’t bought chicken at the grocery for ~ 5 years! Hoffman Acres chickens are moved every day, they eat high quality feed along with bugs and grass. If you’d like to stock up for winter, we are offering a bulk pre order of 10 birds or more. Chicken harvest dates are Sept 30 and Nov 4th.

About a month ago, we placed a silage tarp on this area to kill leftover w**ds and prepare this area for the fall. Once we moved the tarp to the next set of rows, we added compost and mulched the walkways. These rows will soon have beets, carrots, kohlrabi, radishes and maybe lettuce.

Hello from Hoffman Acres. We are planning for fall chicken season. Our chicken is pasture raised. If you’re interested in purchasing chicken, filling out the form will allow us to consistently stock the chicken you’d want. Anybody else battle varmints? The sweet potatoes looked incredible, until they didn’t. The cantaloupe are amazing! The varmints think so too 😵‍💫 😩

At Hoffman Acres, we follow organic processes like tarping for w**d suppression. These 5 rows had carrots, beets, kale, cabbage and so much more but we need to prepare them for the fall. A few weeks in the hot Texas sun will kill the w**ds enough to successfully germinate and transplant the next vegetables for our table and yours.
