Caught the Pizza sign in Spartanburg and had to see if that “New York style” claim held up 👀🍕

Went classic with a margherita (bright red sauce, clean + balanced) and a white slice with mushrooms—oil-based, rich, and super savory

Both delivered. Different lanes, same result: legit slices down here in the South 🍕🔥

Downtown Greenville run at 🍕

Neapolitan-style margherita—wood-fired, light char, clean, balanced. Simple done right

Broccoli rabe app (served as florets but still brought that bite)

Off-menu drink: amaretto, peach, duck fat 👀
I pitched “James and the Giant Duck” but went with “Duck Duck Peach” 🦆🍑 I was heartbroken

Bonus: crispy potatoes with cheese + aioli. Shoutout to the kitchen

Pulled up to Group Therapy Pub & Playground and had to put their buffalo chicken flatbread to the test—tangy base, sauce had soms kick, and definitely delivering on flavor

But you know I couldn’t stop there… wings were mandatory. Lemon pepper dry bringing the punch, honey garlic wet bringing the sweet heat 🔥

And as always—practice good wing etiquette and CLEAN YOUR BONES

Full bar, scratch kitchen, self-pour taps, and a mini golf course inside… this spot is an experience ⛳️

Well, it did. And the Cheesy Garlic Bread helped soak up the brews before headed back to SC

Happy 6 years
Took awhile to get out. Blame parking anxiety
Made the first trip count with a Maple Bacon Chicken Sammie from & a Connecticut Lobster Roll (the proper Roll) from
Due to very rousing & energetic music, only got one video but the Shrimp Ceviche Tostada from STANDS UP & was the perfect caboose for the other dishes

One week ago was Celly Drippins weekend at
And as much as I could go into, especially it being my second year experiencing this release, how much this particular beer (IYKYK$ is such a great example of how the Hop & Malt harvest can have the ever so slightest effects on a beer, I’m instead showcasing something else
Every year for Celly Drippins, the kitchen puts out a special menu for the release and it never fails to SLAP
Hey, if you’re gonna drink, ya gotta have something to soak it all up
It’s hard for me to turn down any type of seafood (I’m basically the anti- in that regard) and I’m really glad I tried the fried oysters first because they sold out before I left for the day!
Fun fact, although I didn’t get the oyster whaff when they came out, the older gentleman named Gary next to me did and then when homeboy to my left ordered them later, the aroma hit me
These oysters hail from Virginia and are served with a Celebration IPA sweet and sour sauce
For more sustinance, the Crispy Orange Beef hit all the chewy vibes for me with a Celly Drippins orange sauce served over Carolina rice and wonton crisps. I savored every bite
The Bison chili is delicious and I know because I had it last year
Drip on, Sierra Nevada, I can’t wait to see what’s on the menu next year

They came for the beer, they stayed for the food
Well, let’s be realistic. The “Missed Your Plane” event every year on Black Friday at highlights 14.9% Barrel-aged Stouts. It’s only responsible to partake in the kitchen
And there’s always specials that incorporate the powerhouse stouts. I even got thrown off that one of them wasn’t a Burger 😂
But I for one will never turn down a chili and the MYP Chili was a mix of Swangus, Wagyu, and Smoked Brisket with beans, local jalapeno, and the base Nilla of Missed Your Plane. Don’t get scared off by the jalapeno, I didn’t find any less approachable
One plate per MYP variant. Again, responsibility
The wiNGs here at New Groove are stuff of legends and this year, they offered a Nilla base BBQ sauce mixed with the classic Sweet Baby Josh sauce. You had the option of dosing that mixture over your choice of wiNGs, Nuggz or Crispy Thicc’n, all of which of course prepared in beef tallow
You know DAMN WELL that I cleaned them bones (photo proof provided)
