Wandering Bard Meadery Located in Greenville, SC, Wandering Bard Meadery produces quality meads and fun ways for the community to connect.

It all started over 30 years ago in Brian’s Daughhetee’s college apartment where his love of a good spirit led to an interest in the eclectic ‘honey wine’. Little did he know his fermentation experimentation was just the beginning of his journey into mead making where he now has produced 8 award-winning meads and dozens of varieties for all palates from elderflower to coffee. Joining Brian in his

quest to create some of the best mead in the Southeast is his nephew, Adam Daughhetee. Together, they share their passion and enthusiasm for the delightful and delectable alcoholic refreshment, now paired with brilliant cuisine to complement their 18 meads on tap. UPDATE: We have a lot going on now. I’m gonna hold some back for like the algorithm. We have received our alcohol licenses from the state. We are in motion. NEW QUEST: One more license to go and our next announcement will be opening day. Thank you to everyone who swung by this weekend and helped out with getting to those finishing touches!

Still no big updates. Waiting on permits. We had SCUMM (South Carolina Upstate Mead Makers) swing by for a visit. Once we get open again, SCUMM will officially starting meeting at the meadery again. We may do mead making classes again someday, but for now we’ll be leaning on SCUMM meeting to discuss mead making methods and mead feedback.

Update: not much to update. Once I get my permits I’m ready to make mead. In addition to Wandering Bard Meadery here in Mauldin, we are also excited about Wandering Bard at - a cafe/taproom located in a pottery school/store/makers space.
