Good morning! First and foremost we want to thank you all for the amazing season! We couldn’t be more blessed to have such wonderfully understanding customers while we’ve battled through this wild season. Heat/wildfire smoke/Deer/wildly high demand was not on any of our bingo cards this year. Either way we are very fortunate and thank every single one of you.

Secondly, as stated yesterday, today will be our last day. We open at 10am and will be first come first served. We have picked everything we have left and expect a less than impressive result. We expect a line the minute we open and to sell out very quickly. Almost instantly quick. We truly feel bad that we can’t make everyone happy, but we’re just like the Detroit lions…. “There is always next year!”

Thank you again for the great season and your overwhelming support of our angel tree. We will see you all next season!!!

🚨🚨Per expectations, we’re sold out already. Tomorrow is going to be it and it’s going to be first come first served…. Thunderdome style. See you then!🚨🚨🚨

This is what we have for the day. We’ve contacted everyone that’s tried to order, that’s all the orders that we are filling. First come, first served today and tomorrow. Tomorrow we are going to pick all of what we have left and that’ll be a wrap on the season. Hope to see you!

We’ve got two very important things today:

1) It’s everyone’s favorite tractor drivers 15th birthday today! If you want an assurance that you’re funny, just talk to Teagan. He laughs at everything. Please help us by joining in on a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

2) Tomrrow is the pea picking day. I’m not sure how you go from 90s and smoke a week ago to 50s and chills the next. We’re done waiting for them after today. So, we are going to run one whole planting tomorrow and the entire next planting either Friday or Saturday. We know you all have been messaging, we will try to get back to you today. Thank you for being patient.

Well, with the niece and nephew up north and the peas being too small… we’re going to take the next day or two off. This crazy heat/smoke/deer trifecta has made for a very interesting season. We have two plantings left but we’re not expecting much. We will try to work with everyone to get you peas if you haven’t gotten any. Enjoy your Sunday. Take a day to rest and recharge. We’ve got between 5-7 of these today. We pick the amount that would normally get us over 30 of these this morning. Heat, deer and smoke have really put a damper on the end of the season. We’re going to fill a few orders of patient folks, and be open at the roadside as long as we can. We have two plantings left that should be ready in the next few days, but then that’ll be it. We will update when we can! Thank you for your understanding.

These are never fun posts to make, but the amount of field we harvested this morning that would normally fill this tank almost all the way up, didn’t. We’re not sure if it’s the deer eating them, the blazing hot temps, or the sun being blocked out by all this smoke. Either way it’s not great. We have two plantings left so we’re caught between them not growing due to the weird sunlight they’re getting and getting munched and laid on by deer. We will definitely update you all as best we can. We are going to go out and try to pick again tomorrow, but who knows at this point. Thanks for understanding.

Since we’ve had a lot of questions this morning, here’s an answer. Will we have peas today? Yes, we are planning on it. Besides the first couple of days, we’ve had an extremely successful season and we are so grateful for that. With our season winding down, we were bound to have a few more bumps in the road. This particular meteor sized pothole showed to be our pea cutter. We’ve been fixing it all morning in this hazy smoke and will continue to do so until we can get back to the field to hopefully get everyone some peas. WE WILL MAKE A NEW POST WHEN WE ARE FIXED. KEEP WATCHING FACEBOOK. DO NOT COME UNTIL WE MAKE A NEW POST.

Smoked peas? Never heard of it. We thought we’d try picking through the crappy air quality. Peas taste fine, they’re a little small so we only picked a very limited number. I mean, very limited. So if you’re coming from a distance, please wait until tomorrow or Saturday. Definitely stay safe out there. Weird times we’re living in. We will update tomorrow about picking and what not. We’re hoping they grow a little bit in this haze. Have a good day!
