Who doesn’t love a good pedicure? 💅

Hazel had an overgrown toe that didn’t naturally wear down like they do in most beef animals. So yesterday our hoof trimmer was able to come out, trim her and get her walking smooth again!

The hoof trimming system kept her safe and secure while Mark was able to swiftly and effectively work on all 4 hooves! Grateful for professionals like these who know their trade and keep our animals comfortable and healthy.

Finally got a good dose of rain overnight and when the hubs checked late this afternoon, it was still too wet to mow hay, so he started on another project- a portable fly rub! 🪰

In the past we have attached our cattle rub to a wooden post and then a metal post, but they always end up getting banged around and would come down.

Something like this has been on “the list” for quite some time now. So he used materials we had around the farm to build this contraption and in theory, we’ll be able to move this from pasture to pasture and entice cows to walk thru by having minerals on the other side. Stay tuned!

While Brayden raked and Jeremy baled, I was assigned the loading job, so I could get a jump start on hauling home. Man my boys make it look easy! I did a load and a half while Brayden finished up and let me tell you, I was never so grateful to see him walk up and take over! 😂

Up, down, tilt, open, close… I’m not coordinated enough for this! 😂

Hauling the last load of hay home. It’s been a 15 hour day and not done yet. Jeremy asks me to ride with him, so I do. I say “so did you want me to ride so we could chat?” He said “actually I wanted you to close the gate…” 😂🙄🤦‍♀️

Thanks hunny…. anyone else?? 😂

Thank you WTEN for showcasing Drive Your Tractor to School Day at Greenwich Central School and the hardworking agriculture students who proudly drive their tractors to school each year! It’s a wonderful tradition to celebrate farm kids and the positive impact they have on their schools, communities, and the future of agriculture. 🚜🌾💙

Greenwich Central School District held its annual Drive Your Tractor to School Day on Friday. It’s a tradition that celebrates the rich agricultural roots of the region, and gives graduating seniors a chance to shift gears into their next chapter. https://www.news10.com/news/washington-county/greenwich-students-drive-their-tractors-to-school/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_WTEN
