We're thrilled to see Casalfarneto's Vermouth Bianco on W**e Enthusiast's top 100 Spirits list of 2024!

Made from 75% Verdicchio late harvest white w**e grapes this vermouth is very pale straw yellow with an intensely balsamic nose and complex bouquet of spices and herbs.

As you're planning your Thanksgiving menu, be sure include an amazing bottle of Chianti that goes with everything yummy!

Meet Fattoria Rodano: Fattoria di Rodano is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico in the famed region of Castellina in Chianti. The original farm dates to the Middle Ages and sits on the historic Via Franchigena used by pilgrims to travel from northern Europe to Rome. It became a w**e-producing property in the sixteenth century. The w**ery has been in the Pozzesi family for three generations, since 1958. Vittorio Pozzesi, who owned the w**ery until his passing in 2012, was the President of the Chianti Classico Consortium. His son, Enrico is now the w**emaker and managing partner of the w**ery.

Rodano is a large estate by local standards, with more than a hundred hectares under vine. The heart and soul of their vineyard holdings is the beautifully situated vineyard of Viacosta, which is a perfect, south-facing bowl of old vines that average between 35 and 45 years of age. In top vintages, the Rodano Riserva Chianti bottling is made from the Viacosta vineyard. In addition to Sangiovese, the Viacosta vineyard also has a small parcel of Cabernet Sauvignon planted here, which is used in the estates IGT bottling, called Mon Nene, named after Enrico's daughter.

The Lionello Marchesi family has been in the w**e business for more than 50 years, investing in innovation and technology and meanwhile gathering huge experience in the production of quality w**es , especially Sangiovese based in the several w**eries.

The family's smallest and most important w**ery is Coldisole in Montalcino, whose w**es are the oenological embodiment of our production and a source of great pride.

Here they only grow the Sangiovese Grosso, which is one of the most sophisticated varieties, the grapes of which must be handled with extreme delicacy during vinification. Only the best bunches are destined for the production of Brunello di Montalcino. The lands of Coldisole are predominantly clayey-calcareous soil, lying in a natural amphitheater of hills and woods, and they enable us to produce w**es of extraordinary style and elegance, especially in hot, very dry growing years.

Bring on the Barolos! The Palladino family has been crafting some of the most notably sought-after w**es from the Barolo appellation of Piemonte (”foot of the mountains”) for years. Piemonte is surrounded by mountains on 3 sides, which provides a protective barrier offering sunny slopes for growing Nebbiolo grapes.

Made from 100% Nebbiolo, Palladino Barolo w**es are silky and full of deep red fruit flavors with delightfully smooth finishes. Truly among the best.

Made from 100% Barbera, the Palladino Barbera w**es are ruby purple, medium body with a lightly chewy feel and an intense bead of red-fruit flavor. Both easy to drink and elegant, it has a fruity nose with notes of blackberry, strawberry and cherry. The palate is well balanced, with a fresh, dry taste.

Sunday, October 6th is National Orange W**e Day and we're thrilled to be adding Casalfarneto PAO Orange to our portfolio!

What is Orange w**e? Excellent question. Orange w**e is made from any white w**e grape that is left to ferment in contact with its skins to create the amazing amber, copper, or pumpkin color and news-flash - not an orange fruit in sight! Nope, not a one.

Casalfarneto Pao Orange is made from 100% Verdicchio, which is mineral and complex with great aging potential. The color is golden yellow with orange reflections and the aromas of citrus and white flowers and the taste? -- Rich and complex, warm with a long dry finish with delicate tannins. In another word, "yummy".

Coming to the US later this fall, watch for the broad-shouldered bottle with the big-O label - PAO is a standout!
