My cute little bluebonnet finally sent out a flower!
Backstory: the kids planted seeds this spring and we put them out in the flower bed once they sprouted. Well, between the chickens, bugs, and heat, not too many made it, but this was a survivor.
I didn’t think about it at the time, but the envelope didn’t say WHEN to plant the seeds, just how. Apparently, you’re supposed to plant them in the fall just before winter. I think that was necessary information!😅
On the other hand, I’m very impressed that it kept growing enough to send out a flower in the dead heat of summer. Wildflowers for the win!
